Accessibility statement
Swiss Tax Kit aims at WCAG 2.2 level AA for every page and for the statement you download. This page says what is checked on every change, what we know falls short, and how to tell us when something does.
What is checked on every change
- An automated accessibility sweep (axe-core) over every public page and every flow screen, in light and dark appearance, at desktop and phone widths.
- Every interactive control at least 24 by 24 pixels, with the main ones at 44; focus visible in both appearances; no page scrolling sideways at 320 pixels, including the summary and statement screens.
- Tables stay tables at phone width — never turned into cards — and scroll inside their own region with a name a screen reader announces. The name column wraps and the value column stays on screen.
- Every form works without JavaScript; live regions exist before anything changes, so a screen reader hears the result of an upload rather than silence.
- No motion that does not confirm a state change, no cookie banner, no overlay.
What we know falls short
- The PDF statement is not fully tagged. It carries a title, a language, real selectable text and alternative text for the barcode, but not a complete tag tree. The same figures are published as an accessible web page at your statement link, and the PDF prints that link, so nobody depends on the PDF to understand their numbers — only to submit them.
- The import barcode is an image by nature. Its content is the XML file next to it, which is the accessible form.
- Screenshots in the broker guides are still to be taken; each placeholder carries a caption saying what it will show.
- Only English is switched on. German, French and Italian are wired and will follow together.
